REBIRTH
Directions once so certain
Grow hazy in the shrouding mist,
But in a heart broken by sadness and indecision
A shred of hope sparks anew.

Fearful memories return — unbidden,
Broken dreams, lost in the shadows for years,
Illusions of unfulfilled desires
Trampled down by the passage of time.

Yet, in that shattered heart, a dream survived.
Long forgotten, it had never truly died.
It smoldered, waiting for the spark to rekindle it
And bring that dream back to life.

Most newborn dreams scatter in the wind,
Too fragile and ethereal to survive.
Yet, once rekindled, the spark of hope lives on,
Waiting for its own moment to shine.
