I found this lovely, -- Kim Berger
inspiring poem in my parish's
"Community Connection," and was
fortunate enough to obtain
Mary and Kim Berger's permission
to publish it.
THE SEA
The moonlight sheds its radiance
On the clear, sparkling, blue water.
The water in all its wonder
Curls over and breaks,
Leaving a soft white foam in its place.
And where it crashes,
And where it curls,
It leaves many small treasures.
Sparkling and shining,
Some smooth, some rough,
Some light, some dark.
As I watch the twilight
In the west --
And the growing darkness
In the east --
I feel the sand between my toes.
And I wonder and marvel
At God
And His beauty and strength
And His wisdom and love.
