I'M NOT WHO I USED TO BE

I'm not who I used to be.
Life has molded me,
Through experience,
And losses, and gains.

I'm not who I used to be.
I see things in an altered light,
And perceive what I am meant to embrace,
And value different goals.

I'm not who I used to be.
I long to paint richer colors,
Dance to more glorious music,
And sing that everlasting song.

I'm not who I used to be.
I understand that beauty,
Is in the humble heart,
And in the sincere and faithful soul.

I'm not who I used to be.
My fulfillment is found in the Presence,
Love, and Grace of God,
And what is not of this world.

I'm not who I used to be.
I walk that narrow path
With its less traveled twists and turns,
Towards my Savior.

How can I explain,
The measure of it all?
I'll try the best I can by saying,
I'm not who I used to be.
